Film Critique- EPIC

                    Family, it might be one of the most main important factors in this movie. M.K. was unaware of what she had and gosh i hate writing like this. Let's get to the point.

                                    Subject and questions.
   Subjects/ Questions - MOVIE OUTLINE

       Subjects in a movie like obstacles and road blocks for a character. So what did Epic cover? Epic had writers that cover several morals and thing's in everyday life for the newer generations. Divorce. M.K. had to handle the separation of her parents de to the fathers obsession. Which happens alot today with either parent. As she got older she heard things about her father and it's probably alot more than what can be seen on the surface of the movie. She probably missed her father, wondered about him and cared for what he had to say. But after the loss of her mother she was most likely depressed and hurt but could only result to her father. She needed somewhere to go and he was the only one. That probably worried her. What if he didn't change? Why did the mother feel so upset she wanted to leave? Questions leading in her mind and thoughts crumbling. This is things that a story needed to gain. The creators had to have some basis for and information to even start animating. The plot line. What would become of M.K. if the father had not changed? What if he did change?
                    Questions and thoughts cramming these minds of creators. Then after, What was the obsession? Small people living in a forest. What do they do? The protect the life of the forest, live in peace and are like a small country. Clothes? Designs? All of these are perfect factors. There are questions of personality for voicing and scripts.

                         Animation, acting, direction and quality.

The animation seemed to be the start of more great movies from the producers. But the voice acting was spectacular. The personalities of every character seemed to fit the role perfectly. It does take a long time to get the voices in time with the animation, and also the animation can be revolved about the takes for the voices. As you can see in the picture above, even animate characters have to have a wardrobe. The personalities have to match the character as well. Nod ( main character )  seems to have this dirty look. He acts as if he should be a con man but is actually a warm-hearten person and learns during the movie what he really wants and the true meaning of what it is to be a "Leaf Man". These roles are Character development. The character changes throughout the movie or show one way or another. Maybe through thinking or bad experience or even good experience.

(Josh Hutcherson voices Nod in Epic)

                                  Strengths and weaknesses

                    I feel the strengths are that the character development touched everyone. It was actually interesting to watch the movie and see these characters change. But I believe in no weaknesses in a movie unless based off a book. Let's face it. Defiantly going to be alot of criticism on movies based off books because "They didn't do that right" or "That didn't happen in the book" so I know how it goes. But this movies was put together beautifully.

I'm done with this review. Nyeh. Thank.

There Goes the Neighborhood

                 This is the house that goes bump in the night. The full moon shines itself upone the house and you can't hear anything. There isn't any breeze, no wolfs howling. Just a light that flickers under the moon light. They say that this house used to be a glorious mansion. There was a couple and had three children. The father had passed away in World War 2. The mother couldn't stand the thoughts the house was whispering to her. They say she went crazy and murdered the first child. The first ran through the house, screaming for their life and fell down the porch steps. And crumbled on the ground to witness the mother holding a knife, and a scream rang out. The second came home from school and went looking for the mother. He noticed the vicious stains on the front porch steps, and was frightened. He had just come home from boarding school in the north. He walked up to the second floor to the window on the left. He saw his mom sitting in a rocking chair, and she held a baby in her hand. Singing slowly "Ring around the rosie. Pocket full of posies. Ashes to shes, we all fall down." And that's when the second child was murdered. The mother brought the knife down on the last word.  The third ran, screaming for help, that his mother had gone mad. She screamed at him "Let's join him, your father!" and he froze. His father? He went off to war, that's correct. He felt a tear fall down his face as he stood in front of the main entrance of the house. "Mother, what happened. I was not aware that he died." his hands shook as he snarled. She looked concern and he saw the blood lust in her eyes. She held up a gun and it rung out. And she was never seen again. But, they say she can be seen in the window of the attic. and when the light flashes. They saw she welcomes you in to join her beloved family. Will you join them?

Custom Vehicle

Inspiration/ Pieces I took from:

Product w/o coloring:
Product Black and White coloring:
Product w/ coloring:

WITH BACKGROUNDDDDDDDDD

I am so cool. lookie here. GATHER ROUND SMALL CHILDREN AND AW OVER THIS WORK. I really disliked this project until I actually had an idea on what I wanted. I used the perspective tool on free transform after selecting my area. SO SIMPLE. OH GOODNESS. I used the magnetic lasso tool and polygon lasso tool an awful lot. I could definitely improve how smooth my surface of the car is alot more after selecting and using the Refine Edge button at the top. Bloop

Magazine Cover

                     AWKWARD GEEK TEEN MAGAZINE

I used alot of hue and saturation edits on this one. I used the magnetic tool mainly, I also used the tool Refine Edges under the Quick selection tool.
My inspiration was TUMBLR. I enjoy seeing cosplay and I have been watching Heroes of Cosplay. I do relize that I had spelled 'Heroes' wrong in the first one. It has been edited. I love Attack on Titan (Shinjeki no Kyojin) and the 25th episode basically left the fans in tears, dead in the dust. AND PETER CAPALDI IS GONNA BE THE NEW DOCTOR. OH HELP.

This was my COLORFUL sketch full of wonders. hehe
LOOK LOOK AT THAT BABY. I WOULD BUY THAT. GOOD GRIEF

Logo- S.E.A.L.S.

This is my submit for my three sketches.

This is my submit for Junior Designer
My submit for senior Designer
My submit for Creative Director
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                   I mainly used the line tool to give me an idea of where the start forming my shapes. I used the circle tool an awful lot. for almost everything. It was too hard to go from black to colors by using the quick selection tool so I just preserved the layer opacity to create the image with my colors.
Our name is S.E.A.L.S and it is a horrible name. ahhh. BUT, I do like baby Seals. They are adorable and don't you dare tell me otherwise. Like they are soul-less demon with piercing black eyes because they are so precious. I love them.
On another note, I did look up how to find layer lock (Opacity lock on the layer) I looked it up, and it worked. So I am just dandy. Well, that must be it and I am off, I just really love the creative director logo. It is my favorite one.
Comic Strip (Senior Designer)
I added Google Chrome in there because I figure he would mess with all the sites. But, he is everyones friend. He loves messing with Ask.fm mostly because, well, He is the "little kid" in the group of web sites.
I had this picture also from awhile ago, and I only used the quick-selection tool and free transformed it. WOOT. I really like this one!~
One-liner Comic. Help, I'm dead.
AIN'T THIS FUNNY YA'LL????? YA BETTER BE A LAUGHIN'.
Sorry, not sorry. I made this octopus a long time ago and just used the magnetic tool to delete the background, and I pasted one of my textures for overlaying lineart. I just, ugh, that joke is retarded. Lets ignore it.
Comic
     Okay, so my comic is obviously about that annoying commercial and ask.fm character. I used Photoshop CS6, Photoshop Elements 08, and Paint Tool SAI. I mostly used Photoshop CS6 for the adjusting layer hues and saturation and to use the select tool, its not as simple as just preserving the Opacity of the layer in Paint Tool. I feel like you need a few programs to get things done. I mostly used tools I used before and my project, overall, looks decent. I am not that proud of it, but that's fine.
Eddie the Donkey
                       The way the tools in this project were used so much simpler than deleting items like I did on the Thor project. I used the magnetic lasso tool and figured out how to use simpler short cuts with the shift and Ctrl keys. Making a picture in full view was easier and never thought it had that ability by pressing Ctr+0). Just one of those things never thought of because you zoom in and zoom out by typing (as far as I know).
This was easy to select and move to another screen. It will help me with my own projects as well.
Thor-The Dark World
                      In this project we used the select tool alot, we deleted the surroundings off of he previous pictures to blend them into one. I used the erase tool alot to give it a look-through effect, i put the opacity on 9 percent so it was alot of erasing to blend the colors all the way though. I must say that my face being on the person's, Photoshop like that seems pretty weird. I didn't pay alot of attention but when I saw it, it was really off. I feel bad about that. It took along time, but still feels incomplete, like my spacing of the faces aren't correct. The only one that looks good was the antagonist of this movie (or so it seems obvious) I wouldn't know, I have never watched Thor.  But in all, it was a pretty amazing piece to create, something different to explore new tools. BUT I MESSED UP ON THE TEXT SO BADLY.
Thank you, bye.
Color Theory Collage Self Portrait
                        What I did in this one was create a collage using Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop Elements 08. I put some inside items like Soul Eater Evans (his soul) in the "O" for the word soul. Its a representation for my passion and heart. I put a city like New York, New York because I am from New York, but never had been to the city. A place for people to come together of all kinds, and no one cares. A girl with her arms wide open to show how open I am to new thoughts and Ideas, also to show confidence. I made sure there was water in the picture to show a reflection, I enjoy seeing people happy and glad to help others, to see a little part of my influence. I put Blue jays in there just to have an animal to show I have compassion. I enjoy the sky in the background immensely. It makes it feel like I have multiple personalities at certain times. When necessary. I also added a Deadmau5 symbol in the background to show an music example, plus it looked cool when I added a reflection in the water.
                      I didn't really learn much in this activity because I already had that knowledge. But it was fun but I still feel like I need more perfection. Oh well, it's exceptionable, and shows me inside it all over. I might work on it at home later just for fun.
Animals, Initials, Masking, & Textures
My animal is an Elephant. I have the initials H.J.H. I created a body out of one the H by turning it sideways. I made the feet of the elephant by taking the other H and just widening it and flattening it out. The J was the trunk. It doesn't actually look like it has a head but it works somehow. I masked the text with a texture from a picture found on Google images. It was a lighter skin one so I assume it is an Asian elephant, if that's the correct name of course (I learned the breeds and how they look). But I guess that doesn't matter. Any-who, it has been completed and i enjoyed this assignment. I thank Parker for giving me an idea of an elephant, better than a planking man.
